What exactly is “Scrip”?

Paper Scrip is a form of gift certificate or card that the school purchases at a discount and resells to supporters at the face value for which it can be redeemed. Depending on the vendor, the school can earn from 1% to 25% of the face value of the scrip certificate.

Each vendor provides its own Scrip, some with the words “Gift Certificate” printed on it. At the store it spends just like cash; there are no catches or hidden charges. If your purchases require change, each store has its own policy.

This Web-based program (www.eScrip.com) enables a portion of credit card and ATM card purchases with participating merchants to be and viewed by the registered family member. Each year the Safeway Club card needs to be renewed by November 1st.contributed to St. Basil’s Parish School as well as Safeway Club Card purchases. Families must create an account and register their cards online. Purchases and contributions can be tracked

EScrip also allows for online purchases from major retailers to make a contribution. However, you must first go to www.eScrip.com to select an online retailer. When you pay with a registered credit card, a portion goes to St. Basil’s.

Registration Process
There are 6 easy steps to securely register as a St. Basil’s supporter with eScrip, once you've gone to eScrip.com and selected the  Sign-up menu item.

1. Identify your school: Group Name: St. Basil’s Parish School I.D. #121227176
2. Provide the necessary information about yourself.
3. Register the Club Cards of the grocery stores where you and your family members shop. (e.g. Safeway, ).
4. Register additional Credit and Debit cards (i.e. VISA, American Express, Master Card).
5. Register Retail Credit cards (i.e. Macy’s).
6. Double check what you have entered and then press CONFIRM. This will successfully register you with eScrip.
